My set worked perfectly for me while running them on my commuter. I could shift easily from both the hoods and the tops of the bars (where I had interrupter brakes) if I wanted to be more upright for visibility while riding in heavy traffic. I would definitely buy them again.

I love them. I can shift conveniently from the drops, the hooks, and the hoods. From the flats I have to shift my hand to reach, but not a whole lot. I bought a bike with them installed, and will always remember the spontaneous grin I had when I first reached down with my middle finger to upshift. After years using downtube shifters, it was heaven. I feel much more comfortable (ready for the unexpected) keeping my hands on the bars, which I can’t do with downtubes or bar-ends. I’ve been using them for a couple of decades now, and have never felt a need for something different (can’t see how anything else could be better).

Do you ride a dirtdrop mtb? Do you ride the hooks all the time? Do you want amazing automatic shifting without thinking? Do you want to be free of terrible downshifts in switchbacks because the barends hit your knees? Get these shifter mounts. They have reasonably good shifting from other positions as well. But if you dirtdrop– it’s these or Di2 y’all. I need another pair, and I pray I can get them.
